We are working to improve 문법.com with frequent updates. Here are some of the new features we brought to 문법.com during January:
In addition to our existing Chrome and Firefox extensions, we added an online grammar-checking web page. This can be used to check grammar on mobile devices where our extensions aren’t available or to try the checker before getting the extension.
You can access the checker in English or Korean using the respective links.
We also kept the love for the browser extension. As was much requested, they now support various Iframe-based text editors as used in Naver Mail and Naver Blog:
With 문법.com, our mission is to help everybody write with more confidence. For our Korean-learning users especially, it can sometimes be hard to know why a particular error was flagged. So to take the guesswork out of grammar corrections, we’ve added an “Explain” feature.
There’s now an “Explain” button in any grammar or spelling suggestion, to offer an in-depth breakdown of the mistake. The explanations can be viewed in your preferred language, helping you learn the rules and write faster in the future.
This feature is now available via our web checker. Over the course of February, we will make it available in the browser extensions.
We replaced our grammar-checking model with a new version, that is trained on a 4x larger dataset and uses ~3x more parameters. This model detects more grammar errors than the previous version and offers more accurate suggestions to fix the grammar.
Additionally, we improved our post-processing to better handle Emojis or incomplete characters (like ㅋㅋㅋ) and filter out some commonly ignored suggestion types.
If you found 문법.com helpful during January, why not share it with a friend? You can download the extension here or try it out online.
In February, we'll be adding more features so stay tuned!
